It’s a way to collect and preserve your daily musings & memories.

My name is Rosie Posie and I’ve been a maker, artist, creative since I can remember. I’m a life-long desert dweller of the Southwest and a lover of the East Coast, specifically NYC! I am a teacher of local creative workshops. I love to educate people on the basic techniques of art so they can hone into their creative psyche!

My love for art has taken me into many artforms during my lifetime; paper arts, jewelry, glass blowing, metal smithing, leather-smithing, painting, mixed-media, textiles, sewing/embroidery, laser cutting, etc. The list can go on forever! I’ve always had an art studio in my home or in the local community.

One artform, however, fits into my every day lifestyle… and that is paper arts. Specifically “Art Journaling”. Having an art journal is like having an extension of your brain by your side. It’s always there to remind you, collect memories, allow for brain-dumping and to express a swift thought. My art journals consist of many different books all at the same time. (no apologies or justification needed!)

The community of art journalers is so unique. Some people love to “junk” journal, some are tedious planners and others are artsy/collage type journalers. There is no right or wrong!

This website was born out of my decision to share my thoughts, ideas and knowledge into the world of Art Journals.

My favorite way to keep a journal is housed in a leather cover.

Leather journal covers have been around for decades and many companies have deliciously perfected their covers to provide to the journal community.

I’m here just to offer my take on a journal cover. It’s a basic idea but with a little “Rosie Posie” spin on it.
